Science!
In Puffins this week we have been doing some science experiments. We found out that Bob the Brave had found him self in Antarctica and needed some new clothes to keep him warm and dry. We then decided we would test materials to see if they were waterproof so we could make some clothes for Bob the Brave. We first started with making a prediction about which materials we thought would be waterproof. We then carried out the experiment in which we put the material on top of a piece of bread and put coloured water on the top to see if it went through onto the bread.
We made sure that we made it a fair test and made sure we had the same sized bread and material every time, we put the same amount of water on and left it for the same amount of time.
The children had fun doing this experiment and found out that the foil was the most waterproof material.
