Hindu Diwali Celebrations
Today, the Kingfisher and Robin class worked together to explore the Hindu celebration of Diwali. This morning they created Diva lamps from clay and learned about the Puja tray used for worship. This afternoon they participated in a workshop where they dressed in saris and turbans and performed some fantastic acting to retell the story of Rama and Sita. Everyone participated very well and learned a great deal.
