Sticky Blobs!
At Cooking Crew today we had a lot of fun making a sticky mess with our 'sticky blobs'!
The children needed to carefully weigh out the ingredients. They then used the rubbing- in method to combine the flour and butter before gradually adding sugar, egg and milk. The final flourish was to make an indent and then add some jam or lemon curd. Due to cooker issues (or perhaps the issue that Mrs Try led her group astray and encouraged them to make huge blobs!!) not all of the sweet treats were cooked in time. Our apologies for this and there are two more tasty offerings awaiting each child tomorrow, to bring home then! We hope everyone enjoyed the one they took home tonight and that they weren't quite as sticky when eating it as making it!
