Elmswell curiosity!
The Kingfishers had curious minds at Elmswell yesterday. Farmer John was really impressed with the high levels of interest and inquisitiveness! We viewed the combine harvester and talked about how lots of spare parts had been needed this year on farm machinery because the ground had been so dry; parts had worn out very quickly! We viewed the new crop of oil seed rape that has been planted and visited the bee hives (from a safe distance!). In the afternoon we enjoyed using picture frames we had made to take a very careful look at nature. We created detailed sketches of leaves, feathers and twigs and we will use these sketches in our art in the classroom. What a great day of learning in the sunshine!
