Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

Today, the other half of Kingfishers finally got chance to visit the Thackray Museum with Robins (well done for waiting so patiently!). Everybody had an excellent day finding out about the medical breakthroughs in medicine since the Victorian times and finding out even more about the key figures they have already learned about: Louis Pasteur, Joseph Lister and Florence Nightingale. They enjoyed experiencing the sounds, sights and smells of a Victorian street and feel very grateful that they do not live there! At the workshop, about the digestive system, they asked and answered lots of good questions. Once again, the children represented the school beautifully. Well done!
