Foundation Stage children studying gastropods.
Snails became a bit of a fascination this week. Many FS children collected snails from the front garden and studied them in great detail. They looked at the horns and the eyes on stalks, they noticed how the foot moved and also of course what other things came out of a snail! After a talk about caring for the living creatures many children made a temporary home for their snail - and named them. At the end of the day Mrs.J had to convince the children that Speedy, Turbo, Boris, Sammy, Mon and Elvis would be happier in the garden than being taken home for Mum in a book bag.
