The Kingfishers had a wonderful trip to Elmswell Farm on Monday. Although the weather was very kind to us on the day, it was extremely wet and muddy underfoot from previous rainfall. Farmer John talked to us about the impact of the extremely wet weather on crop growth. We identified signs of spring on our walk and enjoyed seeing the new calves. In our geography lessons, we have been learning about schools, homes and farms in rural Kenya. In this photo, the children are drawing a detailed sketch of Farmer John’s farmhouse to compare it with what they know about living in rural Kenya.
