What a week!
The Seal Class have had a great time celebrating Science Week and have proved themselves to be true Scientists.
With the Starfish Class we carried out lots of science experiments and investigations - making predictions about what we thought might happen. The experiments included Pepsi and Mentos (Mrs Jackson has used one of the many fab photos for her news this week), making rainbows out of skittles, dancing raisins in sparkling water, disappearing juice and we made our very own lava lamps! We have also learnt about nocturnal animals and designed our own animals which we drew with chalk on black paper.

We have of course taken part in our usual learning of Maths, phonics and reading and are currently learning about mass and volume in Maths.
We have finished the week with Andrea from HSBC who has worked with all KS1 children today teaching them the importance of being financially aware as part of our PHSE Curriculum. The Year One children all took part in the Treasure Hunt session and designed a new coin they would like to see in circulation.
