Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

This week the children have been learning all about the environment and why it is so important to look after it for future generations. We have discussed different ways in which we can help the environment such by recycling different materials like plastic, paper and tin cans. The children got to take part in a workshop yesterday with a visitor from The Wastewatcher Team from East Riding Council where the children learnt even more about recycling such as which bins we use at home for the different materials. They thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the practical activity, and it has made them more aware of why looking after our environment is so important.
