In D.T., this week, the Seals have been practising their chopping skills ahead of making their pasta salads. In this photo, the 'bridge' method can be seen and the 'claw' method was also used. The children worked safely and accurately. In history, they have been learning about the jobs children their age may have had in the Victorian era. They role-played being bird scarers, mine getters, maids or cotton mill scavengers. I think it made some of them very grateful to be at school instead!
