It is hard to believe but we have reached the end of another busy term.
The children have been completing their end of term phonics and maths assessments this week and they have done a wonderful job and have made me feel really proud.
This week we have been learning all about the Easter story and why and how Christians celebrate at Easter time. Today, we walked to church to celebrate the end of term and Easter. The children joined in so well with singing and some of the children received special awards for their hard work this week.
If you would like to practise some sentences at home over the Easter holidays, here are some you could try:
Jack went for a march in the dark.
The sheep got into the jeep.
Liv got wet in the rain.
After the Easter holidays our topic will be 'In the Garden.' The children will be planting and growing both flowers and vegetables. They will learn all about minibeasts and creatures which we may find in our garden. We will use the front garden at school to explore a different environment and identify what is growing and living in our school garden. We have visits planned to both the fire station in Driffield and to Elmswell Farm, so it will be another busy half term!
Have a wonderful Easter holiday and don't eat too much chocolate!
Kind regards
Mrs Dean & the Hedgehog Team.
