Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

Thank you to everyone who came to parents evening, it was really nice to catch up with you all - can you believe we are nearly 2/3rds of the way through Year 1! 

In English we have been using imperative verbs to write instructions  for making a marmalade sandwich ie -  First get two slices of bread. Next spread the butter. We then followed our instructions to make and eat Paddington's favourite sandwich. 

 In science we have looked at herbivores and omnivores and will be doing our end of block assessment next week. In maths we are learning about volume and capacity. In Art we will hopefully complete our Van Gogh inspired seascapes. 

No phonics next week as we will be doing end of term assessments but feel free to practice any diagraphs and tricky words we have covered this half term.
