This week, we have celebrated careers week. We have had numerous visitors come to school to talk to the children about their jobs including: Amy the paramedic, Chloe from Network Rail, Debbie the journalist from Driffield and Wolds Weekly, Richard from JP Developers and Anne from Thomas the Bakers. The children have learned lots about each job and role and enjoyed trying on the uniform! They are very excited to come to school in their outfits tomorrow, to showcase the career they would like when they are older.
In Maths this week, we have looked at the numbers 9 and 10. We’ve looked at different representations including counters on a frame, 9 and 10 fingers, 9 apples in a tree etc.
In Phonics, we are continuing to read new words with our Phase 3 digraphs including longer words and words with double letters in (eg: pattern, chatter, shimmer)
Next Monday (9th) is the EYFS school disco. Please ensure your child has a bag of disco clothes in a named carrier bag as they will get changed at the end of the school day.
Next week, we are celebrating science week. The children will be taking part in a different scientific experiment each day.
