Weekly news
What a week we are having so far! Monday we had Amy, a paramedic who told us all about her role and how to ring for help. ,Then Chloe from Network Rail come to talk to us about all the different roles there were in Network Rail - Mrs. Jackson is now considering being a train driver or signalman. She also taught us about keeping safe near the tracks and crossings. On Tuesday Mrs.Sutton came to talk to us about being a journalist and making eye catching headlines. Today we had Russell from JP developers telling us all about the different roles in construction and Ann came from Thomas the Bakers .
Thank you to those who have returned their parents evening slips - slots are going quickly. Hopefully some of you will be able to make it tomorrow where we are reading instructions for playing games. You can come at 2.30 if you are able.
Next week is National Science Week so we will be doing 3 afternoons of whacky investigations! On Monday we will be having a Buddhist Monk visit called Lemko and we will do a workshop with her in the afternoon. Then on Friday we are visiting the Methodist church to do some crafts.
As well as all of the above ,maths will see us learning about length and height. Firstly with non standard units such as cubes or paperclips and then we will introduce the centimetre.
