Another half term nearly done!
We have really enjoyed gymnastics this half term, we have learnt different rolls and jumps and how to put them together and to always "present" at the end of the move.
Our vehicles were finally tested and evaluated - we have really enjoyed this project and have done a great job! Just our bird feeders to complete this week. Next half term we focus on Art so expect some Van Gogh masterpieces heading your way.
Our literacy focus next half term is Paddington - always popular, until we make a marmalade sandwich!
Phonics -
/ur/ or word, world worth, worm worse
/oo/ u oul awful would
/air/ are share dare, square scare stare
/or/ au aur oor al author dinosaur floor walk, author astronaut poor, floor door talk, walk chalk
Tricky words - once, laugh.
In science we have been looking at good things we can do for our planet and things we must avoid. After half term we will be back on animals looking at reptiles, carnivores, herbivores and omnivores plus classifying animals.
Just a reminder that our Environmentalism exhibition will be in the hall from 2.30pm on Thursday. To explain to anyone who got bombarded with owl questions or statements - school has had a stuffed owl for many many years. We dug him out last week so we could look at him to help do a digital painting in computing. The annual questions are - Is it alive? No. Is it dead? Yes, How did it die? No idea. So, you will see some fabulous art, bird feeders and instruction writing.
Thanks for your continuous support
Starfish team.
