Last week, the Kestrels had a busy week!

We have been writing diary entries in English as the character Noi from The Storm Whale story. The children have done a super job with this, using their knowledge of the story and writing skills. 

In Maths, we have continued looking at pounds and pence, adding up different amounts and making them in different ways. The children had to think carefully and use their knowledge of the coins we use, for example when making 70p in different ways, they remembered to use 50p and 20p and not make up a 40p coin. 

In Art we designed our wave patterns ready for printing! They really enjoyed this, using different patterns and lines. 

We learnt all about the Whitby Lifeboat disaster in History and the importance of the life jacket. The children found this really interesting and could see how the life jackets have changed over time. 

This week, we start our Environmentalism project which the children are looking forward to. We can’t wait to show you what we get up to!
