Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

This week in Bumblebee classroom, we’ve been enjoying exploring new things! One of our favourite activities has been freeing the frozen figures from blocks of ice. The children have had a fantastic time discovering how to release their icy treasures! Bashing and putting in warm water were the most effective! 

We’re also excited to introduce some new pieces of equipment that have arrived for our classroom. The peanut ball with bobbles and the spinning seat have already proved popular. 

Our daily sensory activity in The Nest has been a highlight this week, with the children exploring a variety of new musical instruments. 

Additionally, our Let’s Play sessions have been enjoyed by the children and staff! Each session focuses on everyday objects, such as a ball or a hat, and is linked to a bespoke rhyme set to the tune of a well-known nursery rhyme. The giggles and smiles have been infectious!

Just as a reminder the ERP PE lesson is on a Thursday, please ensure your child comes to school in suitable PE kit that day. For the children who are accessing mainstream PE lessons this does not apply to you. If you are unsure please speak to one of the ERP staff.
