Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

The time seems to be whizzing by! We have been making our vehicles this week ensuring the wheels are the same size and attached to the axels which in turn has to be secured to the chassis  - it's all very complicated but by investigating and planning carefully we have all made a great model. Next week we will test, evaluate and paint.

Maths - estimate on a number line to 20, comparing and ordering numbers to 20 . 

Science this week we learned about amphibians. Always one of the trickiest for children to understand. Next week we will be learning about birds - we will try and name some common garden birds and even some more exotic and strange looking birds that we definitely will not find on our bird feeders. Hopefully we will do a bird count if we are quiet and still enough. 

Just a reminder to please check all PE hoodies are clearly named and that you don't have anyone else's at home. Girls need hair tied up on PE days and earrings covered. 

Miss Mercer has settled into our routines and will be teaching the class more. We also welcomed a new Starfish into the class this week.
