weekly update
A very warm week indeed and also a busy week for the Starfish!
We really enjoyed our visit to Kingsmill woods - we took a leaf identification sheet and in our pairs we collected, studied and ticked off our finds. We saw birds, bees, butterflies, lots of different wild flowers and then we visited the stream and saw ducks, geese and coots. Our aquatic bird food was a success as it doesn't sink - it was a really calm outing.
Next week we will be starting money in maths - it's only a short section that mainly focusses on coin and note recognition. We have also been learning a little more about Amy Johnson - don't forget we are going to Swerby Hall on Tuesday where we will all be doing a workshop about her.
Phonics will focus on ge (j sound) in words such as badge, large, change, y (i sound) gym, crystal, myth and also ti (sh sound) station, cautious, emotion.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
