Kestrel Class13 September 2024 (by schoollogin) |
This week in Kestrel class we have been very busy!
In English we have been reading Once Upon An Ordinary School Day and have been thinking about our morning routines and using our imagination! I wonder if the kestrels can remember the adjective which is repeated in the story?
In Maths we have started place value and focused lots on partitioning numbers to 100. The kestrels have done a super job at this. We have been practising our days of the week and months of the year too, it would be great if you could practice these at home with your kestrel!
The kestrels have especially enjoyed the start of our Art topic this week, looking at LS Lowry! They came up with some super ideas and questions about his work.
Next week we will be planning our own stories in English and learning more about LS Lowry and David Hockney in Art and History!
Remember to read your books before we change them on Monday!
Have a lovely weekend,
Miss Dean.
