Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

On Tuesday we went to church, where we visited different stations to learn about the Christian celebration of Pentecost. We were enthusiastic in our learning whilst remaining respectful within the church and have enjoyed sharing the highlights with our teachers and friends.

We also had a brilliant day out on a steam train yesterday! We started with a look around the visitor centre at Pickering where we were able to see, smell and hear the railway. From there we took the steam train to Goathland (which was an experience in itself!) where we had lunch in the tea room and took part in a scavenger hunt with our hosts, Macy and Dermot. We really surprised them with our finding skills! We also made a really positive impression on members of the public who told our teachers how impressed they were with our behaviour. 

We have let our lights shine bright this week.
