Final trip.
The final trip of the Woodland Warriors took place this week and what an epic group they have been. The last 2 weeks have seen huge changes to the woods with the canopy being really thick and green now - it almost felt like being in a tunnel. The nettles were taller than us and the spring flowers are gone but now the summer ones have taken their place. The dramatic change to the woods made some of us lose directions as we didn't recognise the area any more.
We collected leaves and common flowers for a task later in the day. On our way out of the woods we went to say goodbye to the ducks, the robin came within touching distance and has had a baby! The robin chick won't get its red feathers until it is older. We take bird food with us as bread causes feather deformities in birds that live on the water such as ducks and swans.
