Using clay in the woods.
This week the weather was glorious. We all carried some clay to the woods (whilst identifying plants and birds on the way) and our task this week was to pick a tree and give it a face!
The results were great and everyone was very absorbed in the task. All the pictures will be on the web site (children's section - drop down menu - outdoor learning.)
This week we were visited by a Robin and a Chaffinch. We remembered forget-me-nots and learnt the name of a new plant Jack-by-the-hedge. We also saw 2 very small blue butterflies which are quite rare due to lack of habitat.
