Fire and Marshmallows!

The Outdoor Club had their first fire session and found out how to create a small, safe fire using cotton wool attached to a bulldog clip and slowly adding little sticks to make enough flame to toast a marshmallow! The children tried really hard to use the flint to make a spark. They learnt about a safe fire position when making the fire and when toasting their marshmallow. Next week, we are creating a fire in the fire-pit to cook bananas, popcorn and more marshmallows!
