We are really pleased how the children are using the Mathletics site on a regular basis. However, it has been brought to our attention that some children have been accessing a mathletics hacking/coding site at home and then sharing this knowledge with their peers. The Local Authority have strict firewall protection for the computers that the children can access at school safely. We have noted that from other computers, should you Google search such sites, offensive and threatening material is evident. The Local Authority ICT department have been informed and have blocked these sites from all computers in schools and colleges. Please ensure that when your child is accessing any device to the internet that you have parental locks/ restricted access, that you are aware of what your child is doing online and what they are accessing and that you talk openly to your child about online danger. Should you need any further advice the NSPCC and CEOP "Think you know" website have great information or please come into school and see Mrs.Thackray or Mrs.Jackson.
