We had a great first week of the summer term, especially with the sun shining! In English we looked at the poem 'What I like', we wrote our own stanza, looked at the rhythm in the poem and added some body percussion to go along with our performance of it.
In Science, we have started our new topic of plants, the children were very knowledgeable on what plants needed to survive. We drew and named the parts of a grape hyacinth from Mrs Sanders' garden. We will be planting some beans and watching them grow over the coming weeks.
We have started Tennis in PE and it was lovely to enjoy PE outside in the sunshine. On Friday afternoon, we had a mini party as it was Miss Medcalf's birthday, it was the perfect end to a fantastic week!
