On Monday the Year One children enjoyed taking part in some workshops led by the artist, Charlie (Ceaac). The focus of the sessions was to think about The Wolds Around Us and our lives in the Wolds. He encouraged children to reflect upon the place where we live using all their senses. There were opportunities for meditation, mime, sketch and the children even sculpted pieces of chalk (one of the materials that makes up the Wolds). The artwork and sculptures created will be added to children's creations from other schools and used towards a larger exhibition.
