This week, Y2 have thoroughly enjoyed their Mini Medics course and have learned a great deal. They were taught a whole range of first aid skills including how to make a 999 call, discussing the information they would need to give. They practised putting people in the recovery position, were introduced to bandaging techniques and were taught how to deliver CPR, as well as how to use a defibrillator. They have definitely gained valuable life skills; thanks to the excellent team at the  ‘First Aid Box’. In addition, the children should have brought home a booklet containing a wealth of information and a competition entry sheet to design an ambulance. Entries need to be in by Wednesday and children will be in with a chance of winning their very own unicorn, monkey or dinosaur first aid kit!
