We are very excited to inform you that tonight your child will bring home their login for our new ebook library; Collins ebooks. Two phonics-based books should be waiting on the account, for your child to read. These have been matched to the phonics that your child already knows and your child may have already read these books in school. When they read these to you, they will be developing their fluency. Can they use their expressive voice that they have been developing in school? We request that your child reads these as much as possible over the next week. You can record this in the usual way, using your child’s reading record. Every Monday your child will be allocated two new ebooks, providing they have read the previous week’s books.

In addition, your child has chosen a ‘reading for pleasure’ book for you to read to them. We hope you thoroughly enjoy sharing this together. Please return this book each Monday so it can be swapped for another.

We continue to audit our books in school and are hopeful that, in the coming weeks, your child will also bring home a phonics ‘learning to read’ book.
