Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

This week we continued learning about puffins. I think a definite highlight was the nest burrow building. After designing a burrow and considering what materials they might need, the children worked in teams to create a home for Poppy the Puffin using a variety of joining techniques. It was lovely to see them work so well together, sharing their ideas in order to create a fantastic final product.

We also wrote stories about Poppy with a focus on using different adjectives. The children were very inspired and Poppy ended up going to visit many places; from Disneyland to Scotland. She was very tired afterwards.
