It has been a busy start for Year Two who have had fun in maths with lots of practical measuring work; comparing lengths in metres and centimetres. We have enjoyed sharing our holiday news through writing a Christmas poem, all about what we would like to capture and store in a Christmas box, to keep throughout the year. The children have come up with some fantastic imagery such as ' the sight of glistening new toys coming to life in the silvery moonlight'.
Tomorrow, we will be starting our theme for the term; we have received a letter from an eminent scientist asking for our help with identifying some animal footprints; who could they belong to and why have these animals been spotted together? We will be sharing the letters tomorrow so when they come home, you could ask them what they have deduced so far!
