Elmswell Farm
The Kingfishers have had a fabulous day at Elmswell, learning about Farmer John’s chalk river and wetlands, crossing the newly built bridges and seeing the young calves. We were treated to a demonstration of some of the methods used to scare birds away from the peas which was exciting. In the afternoon, we held a competition to see who could build the best nest, thinking about the size and type of bird they would be for and how they would be made secure. The picture shows the winner!The weather was extremely kind to us!
