If you go down to the woods today...
The Kingfishers had a fabulous time at the woods this morning and even managed to avoid the rain! We were hunting for trees that we could imagine were different objects or animals; we found rockets, a crocodile named Cindy (!) snakes, horse-drawn carriages and magical flying beds, to name just a few. We are going to use these ideas as a stimulus for story writing in the same way that Quentin Blake did in his book, The Green Ship. Whilst there, we also learned about the structure of a plant by digging up and labelling a weed. We were very careful to put them back where we had found them.
