We have all had the most amazing day at the farm. This visit we found so many signs of Spring. Farmer John told us about the different plants, insects and his new bee hives. There were lots of pheasant eggs all over the field that had been eaten by different animals! The water in the stream was beautiful and clear. The children tried really hard to see brown river trout. The children told Farmer John about the problems of plastic back in Driffield and he explained that some old plastic sack pieces are still found around the farm after 60 years! The children talked about recycling and the farm uses all the plastic netting and wrapping to make into horse jumping poles! We finished by meeting all the new baby cows that were fluffy and mooing noisily. Thank you Mrs Robinson for our lovely lunch. We can't wait to go back.
