A space adventure!
There was a surprise in Kingfishers this week; we discovered that a spacesuit had been delivered to the classroom along with an invitation asking us to join a research group who would live on the moon. Free houses are available! What a mystery! We don’t know who delivered it and we are not convinced that it would be possible to live on the moon; could it be false advertising? Research has started enthusiastically as we found out about the moon landing in 1969 and heard a first-hand account of what it was like to watch it on TV. If there are any grandparents who could share similar stories with their Kingfisher grandchildren; that would be wonderful! Much fun has been had designing, making and launching bottle rockets; some certainly went with a bang! Another highlight of the week has been experimenting with creating tones as we build up our painting skills to decorate our African masks.
