During our final week in school for the keyworker groups, our Year Two children have been on a shopping trip....in the Kingfisher classroom! Like those of you at home, we have been practising our skills with totaling amounts and calculating change. Highlights of our week have been a PE session which involved thinking of creative ways to travel along and balance on the equipment and joining a live event for World Book Day. We learned about the inspiration behind the work of authors such as Lydia Monks and Tom Fletcher, as well as a few handy illustration tips. We also had a lovely time sharing our favourite books with our friend on class Zoom. We cannot wait for Monday to come around when we can finally all be together again, play with friends, learn from each other and see those gorgeous, smiling faces! See you soon!
