African adventures

It has been another week in which our Year Two home learners have excelled in their enthusiasm and hard work; well-done everyone! This week we have been to Africa! (In many virtual ways!). We have immersed ourselves in different types of African culture. Firstly, we listened to different types of African music; thinking about how the various styles made us feel. Today, we thought about the styles and symbolism of African masks and have started to gather ideas for designing and making our own. Excitedly, we embarked on an African safari to learn about the savannah as a suitable habitat for a lion and followed directions all the way to Kenya! In addition, we have been researching gorillas linked to our book, of the same name, by Anthony Browne. We have certainly had some happy travels! A massive thank you to children and adults alike for all of their hard work on Seesaw; you have been amazing throughout and we cannot wait to see you all in person soon!
