Year Two school bubble

12 February 2021 (by schoollogin)

What a fantastic, snowy week in school the Year Two bubble have had! There have been numerous snowy playtimes to enjoy-followed by the compulsory cold day hot-chocolate and biscuits! We have been working hard to recognise 3D shapes and make our own from nets, as well as design 3D sculptures. We wrote back to Mr. Grinling to help him with some ideas for getting rid of his pesky seagulls; using all the sentence types we have learned. We hope it works! As scientists, we conducted a strange experiment in which we planted a pepper ......and a plastic bottle top! We are predicting which will decompose first as we consider the impact of plastic pollution. In RE, we have been thinking carefully about the similarities and differences between the Hindu and Christian creation story. There was also excitement this week when our Luke Temple books arrived in school. We can all read about the Blubber monster and a Giant squid when we're back together again.
Thank you to all the children in school and at home who have worked amazingly hard this half-term. We are incredibly proud of you. A heartfelt thank you to all of the adults who have supported this at home; you have been amazing! Wishing you all a very much deserved and well-earned break over half-term. Enjoy and take care.
