Spirituality
To ensure our Christian ethos permeates all aspects of school life Spirtuality is a key driver to each theme. Each theme is planned to ensure:
- the children develop active imaginations
- their energy and enthusiasm is directed into creative learning
- they develop a love of the outdoors
- they have regular opportunities to experience Forest School which helps them to engage with nature and experience the 'awe and wonder' of the world in which they live
- there are times of quiet and times to reflect. Children are encouraged to reflect on their own learning.
The impact of spirituality on the children's well being is demonstrated through:
- encouragement to express their feelings
- considering the impact of their own actions and words on the feelings of others
- being truthful about their mistakes
- having opportunities to be quiet and be still
