The Kingfishers were full of questions and enthusiasm at the Maritime Museum today and they represented the school fantastically. They were able to compare their knowledge of the Antarctic to the Arctic and were really engrossed when looking at the maps and artefacts. We set each other our own quizzes which included questions such as : 'What is a merchant?' 'What is the name of the Hull spy?' and 'Which figure head was on the Hull Wilson line?'.
Lots of Kingfishers said their favourite time was in the workshop with Mrs. Pickwick but they all agreed that they would not have wanted to be a whaler or a whaler's wife!
Lots also enjoyed a carriage ride in the Streetlife Museum. I feel there may be requests for another visit in the holidays! The bonus is, it's free!
