A map of a mountain.
All the children got a letter last week about Project Possible - this is about Nirmal (Nims) Purja MBE embarking on trying to climb all 14 8000m+ Himalayan mountains in just 7 months.
One of his aims is to inspire children to face challenges and build resilience - whether its learning to swim, ride your bike, eat your crusts or even just put your wellies on the right feet!
We were very excited to hear one Grandad would like to show the children some of his things he has collected whilst working in Nepal. We are also hoping to link with a school in Nepal so the children can see that it is only geography that divides them and nothing else.
When a wonderful picture and facts about Annapurna came in this morning we shared it with Nims who sent a lovely reply.
"Awesome! I think you have a few budding adventurers and mountaineers in your school. I will use this guide on my climb as part of my route planning. Thank you." #ProjectPossible
Annapurna is the first mountain on his adventure so it's a good thing the picture arrived when it did!!
