Driffield Church Of England Voluntary Controlled Infant School

This week we had a special service by the tree that was planted to mark the end of the First World War. The children made poppies for the occasion and we had a two minute silence.

As we have moved on to the topic ‘Super You’, the children’s writing job was to write about themselves. It was interesting to see what they had to say. In ICT the task was to practise typing and recognising letters on the keyboard.  

On Wednesday and Thursday morning Dolphins and Starfish went to Tesco to learn about healthy eating. They spent time at the fish counter and then tried some tasty fruit.

This morning we were lucky enough to see a performance of The Selfish Giant. The children were familiar with the story and loved watching it being brought to life.
