Robins 2018/2019 - Robins project.

18 July 2018 (by schoollogin)

After the summer holidays, all Year Two children will take part in a mini project for two weeks To kick start the project we have put together a list of suggested activities for you to complete together, over the holidays.

Try to borrow a book about Robins from the library.

Find 3 facts that interest you the most about a Robin and make a poster or a booklet to share your facts. A good place to look for facts is the RSPB website.

Create some Robin artwork - maybe  from a handprint or footprint!  (You could experiment with different members of your family printing in different sizes.)

The robin was declared Britain’s National Bird on December 15th, 1960 - you could list some reasons you think it was declared the National Bird.

Please pick at least two tasks from the list above to complete and bring the results back into school on Tuesday 4th September.

Please remember to continue reading during the holidays and accessing  Active Learn -Bug Club and Mathletics for a range of tasks.

In addition, should your child wish to bring souvenirs into school, of their time in the holidays, such as tickets from a day out, shells collected on the beach, etc, we would greatly welcome these and have provided a bag in which they can be collected. Your child may also wish to decorate the bag with events from their holidays. We can then all discuss what we have done.

Don’t forget to bring your decorated filled holiday bags in with you.

We thank you for your support with these activities and wish you all a wonderful, sunny holiday ahead!
