- Robin Class
12 March 2018 (by schoollogin)
The Robins have enjoyed our launch to British Science week today which has included science, engineering, technology and maths.
We have carried out investigations with spaghetti, marshmallows and midget gems thinking like engineers, made lava lamps, (tried to make rice dance..... but failed!) and made some slime (which wasn't very slimy) as well as 'the skittle' experiment. We also learnt about some famous scientists and this is something the children are keen to pursue further. We looked at the life of Florence Nightingale and some of her work, Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell.
Ask your child which part of the day they enjoyed the most!
It was lovely to hear so many of them asking 'why?'
We are excited to be going on the trip in the morning and will be going thinking very much like scientists
