Fruit scones
This week in our final cooking crew, for this group, the children worked really well with the rubbing-in method as a basis for fruit scones. They weighed their ingredients carefully, rubbed them together using only their finger-tips and thumbs and bound all ingredients with just the right amount of milk and egg. They then enjoyed roiling out the mixture and using cutters to get them to the right size. We hope you had some butter and jam in at home to make them even more delicious! Well done for all your hard work during your sessions, cooking crew!
