Friday 'high tea' experience.
The children have been finding out about the past in our school and past traditions in the community. All the children helped to make a 'high tea' for the afternoon and learnt about 'small talk' about the weather and asking questions about their friends who had joined them for tea. They handled and watched how a tea set was used and the process of making a cup of lovely tea! At the end of the tea, a picture of Queen Victoria was shown and the National Anthem was played. It was a great experience and the children have started to share their family experiences from the past.
