We had a fantastic second session at Outdoor Explorers today.

We have made bird feeders which the children have taken home to hang in your gardens, planted bulbs to brighten the school grounds and had a go at lighting a fire with a striker. We made the bird feeders using pine cones, peanut better, string and bird seed. Next week we will be doing some wood whittling and making small fires which we will be toasting marshmallows on. Thank you to all of the grown ups who joined us towards the end of the session and had a go with the strikers - it proved it isn't as easy as it looked
