Awards and Achievements

Children's Achievements both academically and socially are celebrated in school in a variety of ways.

School Values Award: A child from each class is nominated each week (and recorded in our Golden Star Book) for demonstrating our School Values. One of the nominees is selected to look after Driffy the school

mascot for the week.

Gold Star Book: Children from each class are entered in the Gold Star Book for their achievements during the week. The entries are shared and celebrated with the whole school in Friday Celebration Worship

Individual Award Cards: Each child is given an individual award card on which they collect stickers for perseverance, effort, good behaviour etc. These progress from Bronze through to Platinum. When a card is completed the child is awarded a certificate in Celebration Worship

Lunchtime Golden Tickets Children are awarded Golden Tickets at lunchtime for demonstrating good manners. These go into a classroom @Golden Box' which is brought into Celebration Worship each Friday. One ticket is pulled out of each box to choose a child from each class to sit on the Golden table for lunch with Mrs Thackray the Headteacher.

Lining Up Awards: Every morning and after every play time, the class lining up the smartest is given a 'lining up ticket'. These are counted each week in Celebration Worship and the class with the most tickets at the end of every half term wins a 'lining up party'.

Attendance Awards: We take good attendance very seriously and have 2 types of attendance awards; individual and class awards. Any child with 100% attendance for a term receives a free swim voucher. The class with the best attendance over a half term wins an @Attendance Party'. Any class with 100% attendance for a week receives a certificate to stick on their door.

Golden Dust Pan Award: This is awarded by our Caretakers and cleaners to the tidiest classroom each week.

100% attendance certificates:

we 3rd October  Squirrels and Badgers Classes- well done!

At Driffield CE Infant School we like to celebrate our success. To help us do this we have various reward schemes in place:

Bronze, Silver and Gold Certificates:Children in Y1 and 2 work hard to earn these awards for good learning, attitude and behaviour. When they complete a reward card their certificate is presented in Friday Celebration Worship.

Lining Up Awards:

The classes that line up the best at the start of the day and at the end of playtimes earn a 'lining up card' . These are added up each week and at the end of each half term the class with the most receives a certificate and earns a reward that entitles them to a special party.

Golden Tickets:

Each day the lunchtime staff award 'golden tickets' to children who behave in a polite and considerate way. The children put these tickets in a special box in their classroom. At Friday worship Mrs Thackray pulls one ticket from each class box and the lucky 9 children have lunch on Friday at a special table in the hall with Mrs Thackray or Mrs Jackson, sometimes Driffy goes too (but only if he's been good)!

Golden Star Book:

Each week every class teacher chooses children from their class who have contributed well to learning that week and enters their name in the Golden Star Book, the names are read our in Friday worship and the children's successes celebrated.

Patch the Praise Puppy

Patch lives in Mrs Thackray's office but he loves to go and learn and play with the children in their classes. If a child is sent by their teacher to take some good work to show Mrs Thackray they can take Patch back to their classroom.

Attendance Awards

Good attendance at our school is very important and is rewarded. Each half term the class with the highest attendance recieves a certificate and a  party of their choosing. Each week any class with 100% attendance recieves a certificate and a treat. Individual children with 100% attendance for a term recieve a swimming voucher and a sticker which is presented in Friday worship.
